Click It Up a Notch :: One for March
Sweet Sophia on St. Patricks day.
Sophia wanted her hair in pony tail's for the first time and she was just so cute! This is my first month using my new Christmas camera and learning the manual mode. Click It Up A Notch has been so helpful in this process, so I'm linking up with Courtney for her monthly photo challenge...

Thrifty Thursdays :: March
Join me on Thursdays to see what I've picked up while out treasure hunting.
Abraham always zeros in on the books and usually has a stack to sort through. He picked up Sex, Drugs, and Cocoa Puffs by Chuck Klosterman, The Tipping Point by Malcolm Gladwell, and Modern American Humor edited by Bennett Cerf. I added to our collection of Lemony Snicket,The Austere Academy (A Series of Unfortunate events #5). Now we only need #3 for the complete set.
The kids love two sections: toys and books. Abigail was overjoyed to find a groovy girl tent and sleeping bag. Ethan scored a brand new battleship game. He and his dad played as soon as they got home.
I have an ongoing wish list that I keep my eye out for:
Clip Boards
Kids Books
Handmade Quilts
Vintage! especially kids clothing and toys
Crafting materials: buttons, thread, fabric
Finding quilts, vintage dresses, and yes a clip board made for a perfect outing.

We love to take a picnic to Tyron Creek State Park and enjoy the beauty found within the trails. With the sun shinning we left our haven of our home and found rest and life in nature. We packed tissues for those little runny noses, cough drops for my sore throat, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, apples and oranges, baby carrots, peanut butter cookies (which caused a few laughs...that's a lot of peanut butter mom!), water, my camera, and a baby pack (which Abraham carried empty as Sophia preferred my arms).
Abraham and I believe that out of our love for each other, our home is built, and into our love the kids are welcomed. And so it is in our love for nature that our children find delight. The beauty of a flower captures my eye. Sophia crouches down next to me to see. Abraham hears a bird and Ethan points the Steller's Jay out to his sisters. And we see and know how great is the maker of all that we see and hear.
When through the woods and forest glades I wander
And hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees;
When I look down from lofty mountain grandeur
And hear the brook and feel the gentle breeze;
Then sings my soul, my Saviour God to Thee; How great Thou art!
How great Thou art! Then sings my soul, my Saviour God to Thee;
How great Thou art! How great Thou art!
